The EXTRACTION calculation model provides you with the first information for determining the Air volume requirements of the extraction system on your machine. It is a dust collection capacity calculator for the required air flow to transport wood shavings and saw dust produced by planers and other woodworking machinery. Moreover, by completing the Air volume calculation form first, you can proceed to the further calculation of Shaving volume for the information about the required storage capabilities.
You have the possibility to choose from pre-set data of all standard LEDINEK wood working machines as planers, moulders, saws and finger jointing machines, or set an individual model by following the Use own data button.
If not sure which LEDINEK machine to choose, use the information in our offer or browse through our homepage first.

Enter your own data into form fields "Project" and "Comment".
A typical value for under pressure will be between 2.200 Pa and 3.500 Pa. More under pressure will result in a more effective extraction and a cleaner machine.
Extraction air speed will typically vary between 25 m/s and 40 m/sec. Increased air speed is needed to carry a larger amount of shavings from the machine, therefore higher speed will be required on faster machines.

Additionally, you can add optional working units to the calculation. Enter, one after another, the diameter and the number of extraction hoses per unit.
The orientation data of the units is used in order to determine the amount of shavings. The letter 'h' stands for a horizontal unit, resp. for machining the height, 'v' stands for a vertical working unit, resp. for machining the width, 'f' stands for chamfer units, and under 'x' no calculation of shavings will be made for that spindle.
